Toronto Earthquake 5.5


Earthquake hits Ottawa - 5.5 magnitude
5.0 Magnitude Earthquake for Province of Ontario.

An earthquake was felt in South Ontario including Toronto and some parts of Northern US.

If you look up on twitter, you can see many people tweeting about this 2010 earthquake.

The shaking lasted at least 30 seconds to 60 seconds.

Cp24 has confirmed that it was 5.5 magnitude earthquake.
At this time, so many people are searching about this earthquake, and Cp24's web server's are now overloaded and their can't be opened.

At this time, twitter servers are overloaded as well. I can't even log in and keep getting the message "Twitter is over capacity." because too many people are tweeting about 2010 earthquake.

A lot of cellphone services were jammed when this happened..
Some reports of power outages have been received.
Reports say that no buildings have fallen down.

The severity of the earthquake is not yet known. It is not yet known whether there have been any reports of injuries.

i felt the earthquake here in Sarnia, Ontario fror about 20secs or so at around 1:50pm EST

I'm in Burlington ON. Felt it for a good 20 seconds. Noticed my building seemed to be swaying a little. I thought maybe I was dizzy, until I realized the water in my bottle was shaking, as were crystals I have hanging in my apartment. Crazy!

I work at the eaton center and everyones chairs were rocking...everyone felt it at the offices.

My co-worker and I felt it (Oshawa) nothing big though, shook our chairs, shook the computer moniters and a window was rattling

We felt vibrations in King City, around 1:40pm for about 10 seconds. After experiencing that "whoosy" feeling under the feet, we ran outside to hear all the dogs barking.
